What should I use in my beard?
It can be difficult knowing which products you should use in your beard. Which products does what? What results do you get? Do you even need to use anything in the beard at all? Keep reading and we’ll sort everything out.

That’s great! Of course you don’t have to use anything in your beard. It’s the same as with your hair, you use products to achieve a certain look or, in some cases, to prevent something (e.g., a dry scalp). One common issue is that the beard itches, which usually is because the skin beneath the beard is dry. This is the reason for beard oil being so popular: because it counteracts one of the most common issues bearded people face everyday (pun intended).
Beard Brew
A good beard oil contains nourishing ingredients that will calm and moisturise both skin and beard. While a beard oil obviously takes care of the beard it will also do great stuff for the skin beneath. It is usually a good investment regardless of the length of your beard or even if you only have a bit of stubble. The amount of oil needed depends on how much beard you have and how easy it is to massage the oil into the skin. But in general you don’t need much, start with one drop and then add more as needed until your beard and skin feels good. The beard can be a bit glossy at first but that usually subsides when the oil has gone into the skin, depending on how much you’ve used.
Beard Balm
Our beard balm contains many of the ingredients you’ll find in our beard oil. The difference is that the beard balm is solid and therefore shapes the beard a bit more. It’s perfect if you want to moisturise your skin and beard while at the same time reduce frizziness.
Beard Shaper
Our beard shaper is, as the name implies, geared towards styling and is best suited for slightly longer beards, around 2-3 cm or more. The beard shaper is water-based and easy to apply while still providing your beard with texture and firmness that’ll last all day. It contains nourishing ingredients that moisturise both skin and beard. You could say that our beard balm is mainly moisturising with some styling and the beard shaper is mainly styling with some moisturising.
Moustache wax
Even if you technically don’t use moustache wax in your beard it is well worth talking about. An unruly moustache can make your beard look unkempt and vice versa. Our moustache wax is pretty hard which a lot of our customers appreciate. We recommend that you keep the wax in your pocket or that you put it in your pocket for a few minutes before applying it. The body heat makes it easier to work with the wax. Scrape up a tiny amount with the “front” of your fingernail and heat it with your fingers. When the wax feels pliable you start to work it into your moustache and shape it the way you want. We recommend that you use our moustache comb to spread out the wax. But you can also do it with your fingers.
